Mobile networks have become a fascinating force in the developing world.  Switchboard Health has developed a free mobile network and directory for doctors in Ghana and Liberia to call or SMS each other and help disburse information in underserved areas.  In Ghana, there is only 1 doctor for every 10,000 people, and in Liberia, it’s 1 doctor for every 22,000 people.  With Switchboard Health’s MDNet, these doctors can broaden their reach and save lives.  I’m always happy when my web skills can boost such a great organization!
