The Ask

This local state park faced shutdown during a California budget crisis. Volunteers formed an organization to keep the park open, and their support has allowed the public space to thrive. Their previous site was outdated in style and hard to update efficiently. Also, since the FOCC relies on a volunteer structure, the site needed to adapt to multiple users who would hand off projects regularly.

Our Solution

Mangrove set up the back-end of the website so that different volunteer editors can collaborate on projects. We brought the style up to date, making it easier for would-be visitors to find the information they need, make donations, and share event info. We also integrated the FOCC’s MailChimp account, so sending newsletter updates to supporters functions seamlessly.
