The Ask

Nichols Booth, now Revel, is a San Francisco based design firm offering interior, architecture, and design consulting services with a distinguished list of local and international clientele. Mangrove was first introduced to the team back in 2016 when their web development contractors failed to deliver the backend architecture necessary to make efficient website updates. For that project, we executed a front-end experience in alignment with their expectations as a design firm while rebuilding the backend so that the team could enjoy updating their website instead of fearing it. Upon refreshing their branding and website, we were called upon again to build a flexible backend experience with impeccable front end responsive styling.

Our Solution

We created a backend infrastructure that enables the Revel team to easily customize a dynamic homepage grid that provides structure throughout the entire website. Color overlays can be changed with one-click and content is easily reordered by dragging and dropping custom fields. The grid system also seamlessly transitions to tablet and mobile devices. The website serves as the forefront of Revel’s new brand identity.
