Elemental Excelerator is a Hawaii based nonprofit that provides funding, design, and development support to startup teams and companies dedicated to making an impact through clean water, energy, agriculture, and transportation systems. Mangrove has managed their website since 2015. In 2017, they entered a partnership with Emerson Collective's Elemental initiative which is focused on balancing the needs of humanity and nature by supporting scalable, equitable, and innovative solutions that strengthen communities.
The Ask
When Elemental and Emerson Collective’s Elemental initiative rebranded as Elemental Excelerator, they needed a website that could communicate their mission and manage applications for their two funding tracks, with a quick turnaround before application season began. They have since rebranded again, supported by the Mangrove team.
Our Solution
Mangrove worked with our design partners to create illustrated animations and colorful hover states that reflect the fun, sophisticated, and friendly nature of the EEx team. The new WordPress site brings to life the spirit of this energetic and inspiring nonprofit while providing essential backend functionality for its users and staff.
