The ask
When we first connected with Veris, they wanted a new website that would serve their clients better and reflect the firm more accurately. The goal for the website development was to modernize the feel of the brand across the site, support clarity within their content, and improve the site’s alignment with organizational goals, while offering audiences a clear path to the right information. The firm works with individuals and families alongside foundations and endowments, each looking to align their investments with their values and mission, and the site needed to speak to all of them. It also needed to give a clear and authentic picture of who Veris is, with improved navigation, in-depth service pages, and a searchable resource library.

The solution
A reliable, flexible WordPress foundation: We led the website development on WordPress, building in features to support the team’s content and ensuring responsiveness across any screen. The WordPress backend makes it easy for team members to keep the site current. A rebuilt Contact page gathers richer detail on each prospective client and routes new inquiries into the team’s existing tools, while a footer signup invites visitors onto Veris’s e-newsletter. A dedicated client logins section links out to the platforms clients use.
Content strategy and clear structure: Our content partner, Michael Marshall, developed the strategy and content outlines that guided the messaging across 12 key pages, and supported the project with copy review. That work shaped a clearer, more intuitive site, with in-depth service pages that give each of Veris’s core offerings dedicated space and a structure that helps each audience find its way to the right information.
Guided by a content audit, we brought existing content over to the new site and organized it into a resource library visitors can filter by category or author, bringing the firm’s articles, interviews, and reports together in one place.
Modern, on-brand design: To modernize the feel of the brand online, we recommended and implemented typefaces that complement Veris's existing Open Sans. Our designers also refreshed the firm's existing icons and graphic elements, giving the site a cleaner, more current look.
Accessibility from design to code: Accessibility ran through the work from design to development, with the site built to meet WCAG Level AA and tested across browsers. We explored and designed unique features to support accessibility, including a name pronunciation feature for team bios, pairing a phonetic spelling with an audio clip. This feature is ready to support the site with recorded content when the time is right for Veris.
