Korean Community Center of the East Bay

Empowering immigrants with resources at critical moments of their lives

San Francisco-based nonprofit KCCEB is committed to providing Bay Area Korean communities with access to education and advocacy that will help them thrive. Their organization offers myriad resources including legal support, health access, senior services and mental health counseling.

We admire their social justice-driven mission and didn’t hesitate to jump on board when they contacted us about their website rebuild.

The Ask

When we connected with the KCCEB team, they were already in the process of a website rebuild, but they felt the content strategy and design processes were not aligned with their goals. Though their rebuild was nearly 80% complete, they felt strongly about restarting the project with a new team. That’s when we were brought in, alongside our content strategy partners at Diverge Labs.

The Solution

Our initial priority was to quickly tackle an interim website for KCCEB. Using Squarespace, we created a temporary hub that served the organization while we worked on the complete rebuild.

Once the temporary website was complete, we collaborated closely with the KCCEB team and Diverge Labs to develop a digital platform that reflects their original vision. The result is a site that spotlights their resources and significant community impact, while making a strong visual impression with a dynamic mega nav, clean layout and striking iconography.
