Food trucks, events and community
Off the Grid is a food truck company that operates over 50+ weekly public events throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. These events gather communities together to enjoy food from local street food vendors and create lively neighborhood experiences in underutilized public spaces.
OTG wanted to upgrade the aesthetic and usability of their website, making it fun and easy for site visitors to search for their favorite events and vendors. Our Northern California crew had a love for these trucks and gatherings already, so it was a great experience to build a site for a service we were already so familiar with.
The Ask
Off the Grid uses their own customized CMS system to coordinate a complex schedule of events, vendors and menu items. Mangrove was brought in to build a customized WordPress site that connects to the client’s CMS interface via our custom API integration. OTG now has full access to edit marketing pages using their WordPress dashboard, and the updates from their own system populate dynamically into the marketing site. Events can be found in a list or map view, and results are shown relative to the user’s current location for easy access to the nearest happenings.
