Hemera Foundation

The team at Hemera wanted a website that reflected the calibre of their work and was easier for their team to manage. They saw an opportunity for the site to tell the Foundation’s story more clearly, encourage connection with visitors, and share the impact of their work, now that they are no longer making new grants.

To help Hemera achieve these goals, we took on a full website development project built on WordPress, giving them a platform they can update with ease and a place to share their research and expertise and put the impact of their partners and grantees front and center, in an inspirational way.

WordPress built for easy management

We built Hemera’s new site on WordPress, giving their team a flexible platform with content block types built for their needs, so pages are simple to build and update. The CMS was also customized to help Hemera’s team find and manage sections easily as they work.

Audience-focused navigation

We built the site to be easy to navigate, organizing stories about Hemera’s partners and grantees alongside their research and resources so visitors can move naturally between the two. Key content is organized through the main menu and homepage, so visitors can quickly find what they’re looking for.

Accessible, brand-aligned design

The design draws on Hemera’s brand concept of light, paired with a clean, spacious layout that gives the site room to breathe, even on heavy content pages. That sense of openness supports Hemera’s goal of communicating flourishing. Community organizations and grantees take center stage throughout the site, in keeping with Hemera’s wish to let their partners’ work speak for itself.
